Repostel ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

What we collect

Repostel is designed to work without an account. We collect only what is necessary to deliver the service:

• Anonymous device identifier — a randomly generated ID stored on your device. This is used to remember which stories you have read and to count your ratings. It is not linked to your name, email, or Apple ID.
• Story ratings — when you rate a story (thumbs up or down), we store the rating alongside your anonymous device ID. This data improves future story selection for you and other users.
• Story views — we record which stories have been marked as seen so we do not show them to you again.

What we do not collect

• No name, email address, or contact information
• No Apple ID or sign-in credentials
• No location data
• No browsing history outside the app
• No device contacts, photos, or microphone access

Advertising

Repostel is free and supported by advertising. We use Google AdMob to display ads within the app. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve relevant ads in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of personalised advertising in your device settings under Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising.

Data storage

Your anonymous device ID and ratings are stored securely on servers operated by Supabase. Data is stored in the United States. We retain rating data for as long as the app is in service. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us.

Third-party services

The app uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policy:

• Google AdMob — advertising
• Supabase — data storage

Children

Repostel is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
